MIDI over USB C Port?

Hi can the usb C port carry MIDI data? i.e. can i use that port instead of TRS port to send midi clock?

@navs On closer inspection, I'll leave this as is for now - this is the intended behavior when CLOCK SOURCE is set to MIDI (first page on F8+V2). In a future update, we may return BPM control to the pot when there is no MIDI clock present, but I think this is best added to a future firmware update and doesn't warrant an emergency firmware update of its own. To restore the BPM pot behavior for now, switch CLOCK SOURCE to Internal.

The pot does not work when in BPM setting. The f1 f2 buttons do work. Thanks

Oh, and to add you can quantize your live recording by holding F8 and pressing V4 - let go and press V4 again to confirm.

Hey navs,

If I understand the question correctly, you want to play the sample across the 16 buttons?

Switch to LIVE PLAY mode by holding F8 and pressing V6 (the button next to it) - doing it again toggles back to STEP ENTRY mode.

How the mapping works depends on the SAMPLE MODE (F1 + B3).

SINGLE mode, the sample is mapped across the buttons based on the current SCALE TYPE (change with F8 + B1)
SL 16 - the whole length of the sample is divided into 16 slices evenly and mapped across the buttons
SL TRS - the sample is split at its loudest transients and mapped across the buttons

To record your button presses into the pattern, make sure the sequencer is running and you're in LIVE PLAY mode, then double-press F1. Pressing any of the F-row buttons stops recording.
